Here in this recipe you can use a whole rainbow trout and I think that this recipe really does make the Worlds Best Rainbow Trout. Farm raised rainbow trout are now available at most grocery stores and supermarkets. And I really do believe if you try this recipe you will agree that it really is the worlds best rainbow trout. If you can only get fillets of rainbow trout you can use them in this recipe but a whole rainbow trout makes a beautiful presentation at the table.
Rainbow Trout and Tilapia are the two mildest fishes that I know of and both can be made into some of the most delicious fish dishes that you will ever eat. You can fry , broil , steam , or bake Rainbow Trout and in this recipe we are going to bake our rainbow trout in a tin foil package in the oven.
You will want to spray the side of the tin foil that will be touching your rainbow trout with a vegetable cooking spray to prevent the rainbow trout from sticking to the tin foil.
For Your Recipe You Will Need.
1. One Rainbow Trout with Head on for each person you want to serve.
2. Several Lemons cut into slices.
3. Several Sprigs of Rosemary broke up.
4. Salt and Black Pepper to taste.
Instructions For Cooking Your Rainbow Trout
To start with sprinkle each of your rainbow trout inside and out with salt and black pepper. Now as in the photo line it inside with rosemary as in the photo and several slices of lemon. Squeeze some lemon all over the rainbow trout.
You will want to seal each rainbow trout inside a tin foil package and be sure that you have it sealed tightly to keep the steam inside your tinfoil package. Pre heat your oven to 400 degrees and place your trout in the tin foil packages into a baking pan and bake for 45 minutes. About halfway through the baking time turn your tin foil packages over to insure that your rainbow trout get cooked evenly.
If your trout flakes easily with a fork then the rainbow trout is done. You can place each rainbow trout on a plate and you can serve with saffron yellow rice and asparagus for a very delicious meal.
