Steaming Foods Is The Most Healthy Method

One of the most popular and healthy ways of cooking Chinese is with a steamer. In this method of cooking you set your food above a boiling liquid and it is the steam from the boiling liquid that cooks your food.

When you are doing steaming you want to make sure that the water never touches the food and that simply means that you keep your water level at a safe level below your food and let the steam do all the cooking. And one great thing you can do when steaming things that you think might stick to your steamer is to line the steamer with cabbage leaves.

One thing you will really want if you plan to do a lot of Chinese and Oriental Cooking is you will want you one of the steamers that is really several steamers stacked one on top of the other so you can cook several things at once.

Cooking Rice

Not so very long ago rice was what most poor Chinese lived on and even today it is a large part of their diet. However today they have a few more things in their rice than they did in the past. And when you cook your own rice be sure to save your left over rice to make fried rice .

Simple Fried Rice Recipe

Here's a quick and easy recipe for fried rice that every one is sure to love.

For Your Recipe You Will Need

1. 1 Small Bunch Of Green Onions Chopped fine including the tops.

2. 2 Large Eggs Beaten well.

3. 4 Tablespoons Sesame Oil.

4. 4 Cups Cold Cooked Rice.

5. 1 Teaspoon Ground Cayenne Pepper.

6. 1 Tablespoon Soy Sauce.

Beat your eggs very well and cook your eggs in a hot wok in half the Sesame Oil. Stir and scramble your eggs and then pour out into a plate or bowl. Wipe out your wok and add the other half of sesame oil. Add your green onions and cook until tender. Add in your seasonings and the rice and stir fry in a hot wok to flavor your rice by browning it slightly. But don't let it burn.

Once your rice is brown add in your eggs and stir up to mix well. You now have a delicious and simple fried rice that everyone will love. If you wish you can take it a step further by placing your fried rice in a bowl and then clean out your wok.

Chicken Fried Rice

Then get it hot again and add in a couple tablespoons of sesame oil and 4 diced up raw chicken breast. Cook your chicken until done and now add back in your fried rice and you have a delicious chicken fried rice.

Rice should be really easy to cook but believe it or not a lot of people have a real problem cooking rice. One of my strongest suggestions is that you follow the directions on your rice package when you are cooking your rice.
