People can say there is no such thing as vampires but those same people will set and argue you down that there is no such thing as ghosts and I myself know for a fact that there really are ghosts, spirits, and demons that live here on earth with us. Down through out the ages the vampire has kept popping up. And as the old saying goes where there is that much smoke there just might be some fire. Just possibly vampires really do exist and walk among us. Ask yourself this very serious question. If you were offered the chance at immortality and the opportunity to live for thousands of years what would you choose.
Something to really think about isn't it. Could you turn down immortality if it were offered to you.
There are vampire legends all over the world. In fact thousands if not tens of thousands of different kinds of vampires. Here we will explore a few of them.
The Adze
This form of a vampire is believed to exist in the southern regions of Ghana and Togo in Africa. It is said that the creature looks like a firefly flying around though it is slightly larger than a normal firefly and if it is captured by someone it changes into human shape and attacks the person who has captured it. It drinks blood and is said to prey on children.
Bruxa
This vampire is from Portugal and it is said that this type of vampire is created through witchcraft and it is almost always a beautiful woman who is turned into a vampire. Once she becomes a vampire she goes out at night terrorizing those she may find along the way. It is said that by day she is completely normal.
The Red Blood Sucker
This is a ancient form of a vampire in Ireland. It dates all the way back to Celtic times and in the countryside of Ireland it is still feared today. The only way to keep one of these beasts at bay is to pile its grave high with stones so it can not get out. At many locations in present day Ireland you can find old graves piled high with stones to keep the vampires in the grave. There is supposed to be one of these vampires currently near Waterford in a small churchyard near Strong-bows tree. She is said to be one of the most beautiful vampires of all time and it is said she has killed many. There is a grave there in that Churchyard piled high with stones.
Druid Vampires
The Druids of Ireland were said to keep vampires closed up in the hallows of ancient old oak trees. And they fed unlucky people to these starving vampires twice a year during their celebrations. Other than that the vampires were kept shut up in the sacred old oaks and could be heard at night screaming for miles in their wild hunger lusts. It even tells of this practice of the Druids in Ann Rices Vampire Chronicles.
True Vampire Stories
Elizabeth Bathory
She was known as the bloody countess and she lured young women to her castle so she could bathe in their blood. She believed that if she bathed in their blood it would give her eternal youth. She kept a diary and before she was stopped she murdered 612 young women.
The Vampire Monster of Boston
In 1867 a Portuguese sailor named James Brown was caught in the act of sucking the blood from a the neck of a man he had just killed. It was Brown's second blood meal of the day. He was placed in an insane asylum after President Andrew Jackson commuted his death sentence. He attacked other patients in the Insane Asylum and then escaped. He was finally killed in Sacramento California after he fled there after he escaped from the Insane Asylum. He was caught in a prostitutes room after he had killed her and was in the act of sucking her blood when he was shot and killed.
And both of these vampire stories are true. They really did happen and the people in the stories really did live and commit the acts they were accused of.
Over the last hundred years or so the vampire beast of North Carolina has been quite active killing animals in the area and feeding off the blood of these animals. In legends it is even said that animals can also be made into vampires. So what is the vampire beast of North Carolina. Where did it come from and where does it go when it vanishes for many years. Ann Rice brought vampires to life for many of us and I myself have walked the French Quarter of New Orleans late at night trying to catch a glimpse of the shadow that I could see just ahead of me as I walked along. New Orleans especially the French Quarter and the cemeteries known as the cities of the dead can give you a feeling like no other place on earth. If you visit those places on a foggy dark night you can believe that if there is any place on earth where vampires exist it would be in New Orleans.

i just wanna ask something to them
i believe that they exist n wanna know about them

Vampires are very real, but not what you see in the movies...they don't cringe from crosses (in fact most of them are very religious) and they don't sparkle in the sunlight (most are allergic to the sun). But what we dictate as vampires are people who suffer from a rare known disease that has characteristics of being a vampire. The skin is pulled tight, giving the impression of eternal youth and creepiness, the teeth are stained red, due to the disease, which gives the impression that they suck blood, and their teeth are more prominent. Everyone has canine teeth (vampire teeth), but with this disease, since the skin gets pulled tight it over exagerates the teeth. And they do have to get blood transfusions, some do it the old way through a donor, but most do it medically. I live very near a family of four that suffer from this disease. They have enlightened me about their lifestyles and the support group of others that suffer. If you feel that you're a vampire because of what you see in movies, it has nothing to do with anything anatomical, probably something more pyschological.

vampires are real, but there are loads of different types, the vampire myths started out as a way to get children to sleep, btu as time went on, alot more facts came into picture, for example a cult of albino ppl went out at night because the sun hurt their skin and they drank animals blood because it was a supply of iron for their weak blood. Then there were tails of insane ppl who thought drinking blood made them live forever or they got kicks out of it, and stories were made. The people that drank blood DID actually get stronger, so the new abilities were made into myths and stories. Then people atarted to think they were vamps and the legacy lived on, so in summary, vamps excist but slightly less awesome then u'd like to think :L

Hey I just wanted to say that vampires are very real. I actually have read over a 1,000 vampire stories! They are all very different but are also alike in so many ways.I would like to state one thing monica are you sure you want to be a vampire? I mean the "Cullens" are not doing it right, Carisle would make a horrible real life vampire. You should know that 99% of the vampire race is evil like James, and the other two vampires. They are like real life vampires.

they found out about us when there was a disease spreading in greece. it made people lose their blood voluntarily causing them to die. They will come back to life because of a boostg that comes with the disease. If someone digs you up in time you will arise from the dead. Thus the first vampire was born.

There are two different types of vamps: vampIres that are fictional we adore and then there are vampYres that have a medical disease. The vampYres that are like the fictional vamps aren't quite the same. These people have suffered for centuries with this disorder and have improved their medical conditons. Some people, especially young adults think its all great, but its not. Some are actually stupid enough to think that they are a vampire just because they read or watch too much of vamp movies, normally gothic people would believe so. People shoudln't think the way they think about vampires and start looking at the real victums here.

Vampire's are real. However the vast majority of our community resent the term due to preconceived notions due to thousands of years of exaggeration, myths, and media. Vampirism is nothing like the glamourized hollywood versions would have you believe nor are we undead demons. Most of us are completely normal and just trying to live life like most people, we still have jobs families etc. If you really want to learn about real vampires I would suggest doing some vast research.. A few highly reputable sites being: sanguinarius.org and sphynxcatvp.nocturna.org they will explain a lot more in depth although I regret to inform you it won't be anything like you imagined it.

I'm just a normal girl and im not in love with vampires, i guess im one of those kind of poeple who is intrested in stories and myths. I wont say that ive never thought about beening one and im sure no-one can say they haven't either but wishing and want to be one or want to see one will never happen. If a vampire actaully read this he or she wouldn't just say 'yes, i will turn you or yes i will meet you'. Don't waist your life on this because if it never happens you will regret the life you spent. Anyway i bet there is another side to this, we probably cant imagen what kind of things they go through. Vampires don't really believe in any God i'm sorry to say that we understand we are monsters and you breathers should be scared not amused. We take offense to Hollywood movies. We are hiding kind of mostly we don't care because we need to feed. Most of us do not use donors we like to catch our pray the old fashioned way. People who call themselves vampires and the only way to see them is at a goth bar or some weirds hang out they are lying or think they are but are not. They are just goths who say they are into vampirism its not a religion we are tired of people saying that. Neong a vampire is not fun yes you live forever but you have to find someone to spend it with. When your a vampire you get more enemies meaning more people trying to kill you. Point is Hollywood is wrong only a few authors are right about things amd a few tv shows are right. Some of those authors are not even human themselves

I have lived for 257 years and can honestly say that I believe the human race to be our equals. Both of our species are monsters and to any vampyre that puts themself above humans you should be ashamed of yourself.

We only know about vampires that we know nothing. I believe they exist and maybe some of them are among us, but we don`t notice these creatures. But I also think we must remember that we all were made by someone who had an important reason to create us both so equal and so different.
I'm not sure what I believe. I only know that the life I have lived prohibits me from discounting these stories.
There are somethings in life they we may not notice but they are there you just have to look a little harder and keep an open mind

I know most of you are probably SICK AND TIRED of hearing this over and over but i have always dreamt, that i will become a vampire, and i can live in the world for thousands of years, and travel with a special someone, and be powerful and brave and beautiful. I have gathered lots of information from tv, books, movies, internet and many other sources and began creating a book. It probably won't ever go out to the public but i am keeping it for my children and future generations, hoping that someone, somewhere out in our big world, I WILL FIND A VAMPIRE!!!

When i was small my grandfather told me a unrealistic story of blood sucker.
[ many of years ago there was a person named "xxxxx" lived, on night he suddenly wake up and ran towards the graveyard. After that he unseal a coffine and slept. Next morning his nighbr told him about what done tonigt, after the long priod of this situation. He go out of his village. But when he came back to his home he listen his nighbr get dead and found in the coffine inside the graveyard.]

the person who has come back is human and the nigbr was the vampire.

Okay like every teen girl i love the vampire mythology but, I'm not dumb enough to think that vampires are really going to sneak.onto ur room say i love you and be changed....i believe on the mythology of vampires because it dates back into history but, i also believe that a lot of people claim be be vampires but, in reality there fakes....i also think that twilight is a bunch of bull shit..don't get me wrong i like twilight but like i said the facts are a bunch of bull Shiit.
