Life's a beach when you come to the Carolinas. Sunbathe on the beaches of North Carolina's outer banks, build sandcastles with the kids or grandkids on Myrtle Beaches Family friendly beaches. Or indulge in the luxury lifestyle on Hilton Head Island. And don't forget Folly Beach just down the road from Charleston South Carolina. Folly Beach is a town that time seems to have forgotten. And while your in Folly Beach plan a walk to the end of the barrier island to look at the Morris Island Lighthouse. Over the years Morris Island has been washed away until now there is only a Morris Island at low tide. At high tide the old Morris Island Lighthouse is the only thing sticking up above the waves. At the other end of the barrier island is one of the Charleston County Parks with sand dunes and beaches for you to enjoy. The park is at the southern end of the island.

Charleston South Carolina is rich in history dating back hundreds of years and if your a history buff you will just simply love Charleston South Carolina. Wars, Blackbeard the Pirate and a major Earthquake all tried to destroy Charleston S.C. but its still here and its one of the South's premier vacation destination spots. In Charleston SC you can visit great beaches, eat at some of the best restaurants in the world and so much more. Charleston has many great hotels, motels, and bed and breakfasts to choose from. I loved the Charleston Ghost Tour and the Horse Drawn Carriage rides are simply wonderful. Several of the old Plantation Houses and grounds in the area are open for tourist to take tours and see how life was like in Charleston before the Civil War. Just drive out the Ashley River Road and you will find the old Plantation Houses.
