Did you know there are 40.000 species of Spiders around the world. And every single one of them is carnivorous. There are only four poisonous spiders in the United States. They are , the black widow , the hobo , the yellow sac , and the brown recluse. Spiders consume about 100 bugs every year and you are never further than 12 feet from a spider of some type at any given time, Spiders have the ability to regenerate lost limbs. The only thing that spiders do is hunt for food and make more spiders.

Spiders kill more bugs than birds do. The total weight of bugs that all the spiders on earth eat daily is greater than the weight of all the humans on earth.

Spiders only live about one year. Their hairy legs contain their organs for for hearing , touch and smell. All spiders inject a chemical that liquefies their food and then they suck up the goodies.

A Great Way To Rid Your Yard Of Spiders

Place a whole package of chewing tobacco in one gallon of boiling water , remove from heat and allow to cool. Strain the solution into a container and put 1 cup of the solution and 1/2 cup of lemon scented dish-washing soap into a hose end sprayer. Spray around your house and yard and the spiders will be gone for quite a while. Never spray on roses though as it will turn them black.

Killer Oils To Kill Spiders

Only one drop of any of the following oils in a quart of water will kill spiders. You can use Citronella Oil , Lavender Oil , Cinnamon Oil , Peppermint Oil , or Citrus Oil. Mix it one drop to a quart of water for a great spider killing and prevention solution.

Always wear long sleeves and gloves when you are carrying firewood in from outdoors or working with wood piles that have been there for a while. Every year people are bitten by Brown Recluse and Hobo spiders making their home in wood piles. Use precautions so you don't get bitten. If spiders are a real problem in your area wash your wood pile down often with a strong soapy water solution to get rid of the spiders.

Wear gloves and spray a soapy solution onto the spiders to kill them.

To kill Black Widow Spiders spray with a strong soapy solution. Be sure you spray all cracks and areas where they are located. Black Widows will only bite you if you provoke them. They prefer to run away if at all possible.

Use care around outdoor mail boxes as Black Widow Spiders love to set up house keeping in them. Wash your mail box out often inside and out to prevent spiders from making their home there.

Usually found in wooded areas. Or in woodpiles. Also watch out for them in attics. Best to wear gloves when working in the areas they are in. A real strong soapy solution will get rid of them.

They will not really bother anyone and eat huge amounts of bugs but if you really want rid of them spray them with soapy water. I love to watch them and see the beautiful webs they weave.

These can be either a hairy grey or brown color with eight eyes. These are excellent hunters and will chase down and kill their prey. However wasps kill 99 percent of all Wolf Spiders.

A Apple A Day Keeps The Spiders Away

If you want to repel all types of spiders with out killing them , just place a hedge apple or two in the room where the problem exists. These are the fruit of the Osage Orange Tree and have been used for hundreds of years as a crawling insect repellent.

Good Use For Old Panty Hose

If you put a few oz's. of cedar chips into the toe of some old panty hose and hang it where you have the problem the spiders will leave the area. You will have to hang up fresh ones about every 60 days.

A Herbal Solution For Spiders

If you add 1 oz of liguid Pennyroyal to 1 gallon of water and spray it where the spiders are they will never be back.

What Is A Cobweb

Cobwebs are actually . draglines , laid down by spiders where ever they go. This is their life line that they can use to drop down from one place to another or to help them get out of danger. When they get coated with dust they are called cobwebs.

It is best to purchase an all natural soap that contains pyre-thrum and no other chemicals to use on spiders. Though some people say that tide clothes detergent ( liquid) made up in a strong solution with a few drops of peppermint oil added will rid areas outdoors of spiders and will kill any it hits.

To prevent cob webs from returning to corners indoors or outdoors just spray the area with 10 gallons of water that you have added a quart bottle of white vinegar to and 1 cup. of coconut oil. The spiders will not be back.

Protect Your Stored Wood Outdoors From Spiders

Place a few drops of peppermint oil in 1 gallon of water and spray your stored wood outside to prevent spiders. To be sure add a few drops of penny-royal.
