Even though you may never have knew it until now there are many more uses for table salt than simply using it on your table to season foods. 1. Soak white socks in salted water before you wash them and they will come out very clean.

2. You can sprinkle salt where you see ants to keep the ants away.

3. If you soak fresh caught fish in salt water you will be able to remove the scales much easier.

4. Have trouble with your salt clumping up and not wanting to come out of your salt shakers. The solution to this is easy just add a few grains of regular rice to the salt shaker and you will have no more problems. The rice is to large to come out the holes in the salt shaker.

5. Add a little bit of salt to green salads to keep them from wilting.

6. If you wonder if your eggs are fresh or not mix a spoon of salt in a 8 ounce glass of water. Test your eggs by placing them one at a time in the salt water. Good eggs sink while bad eggs will float.
