Real Interview With A Vampire
Did you see or read Ann Rice's Interview with A Vampire. Did you like it. If so then your going to like what we have for you here.We have for you a interview with a man named Peter who claims to be a real live ( or rather undead vampire ) who says he was born in 1712 near Charleston S.C. This interview was done over email and telephone and while we can not say everything in it is real you can read it and see what you think.
Q. Ok you say your a real vampire tell us about yourself a bit if you will.
A. As I told you I will only give my first name which is Peter and tell you that I was indeed born in 1712 near Charleston S.C. on what was then a Rice Plantation on what is now the Ashley River Road. The house I was born in is still there today though no one no longer lives there. My father was a wealthy man of the time and made a lot of money from Rice and trading. I was the third son and as I grew up I had the run of the plantation where we lived and loved my childhood on the plantation. My family at the time also owned a house in downtown Charleston.
Q. When and how did you become a Vampire?
A. When I was 17 I was a wild young man spending the days sleeping and the nights going out to parties when there were parties or meeting married women for secret trysts other times. As I said I was a wild young man and I lived my life to the fullest. In the late fall of 1729 after my birthday in October when I turned 17 I was riding my horse to a near by plantation when one of the most beautiful women I ever knew rode into the road in front of me on a huge black stallion. She had dark skin and long black hair that fell down her back and onto the back of the horse. And she had a face like a angel.
I quickly introduced myself and she said yes Peter I know who you are. I said ok but who are you. She told me and asked me what I was up to this evening. It was just before dark and even for Charleston it was quite a warm night for so late in the fall. I told her I was on my way to a near by plantation. She got off her horse and tied him to a low hanging branch of one of the massive gnarled old oak trees there on the creek. She said walk with me a bit Peter. I don't know why but I quickly obeyed getting down off my mare and tied her up to a near by tree. When she took my hand in hers it was like I felt electricity pass through me. I know I jumped and she kissed me quickly and said come along Peter. I followed her up under the huge oak trees along the creek and she let me take her in my arms.
I won't go into vivid details but I will tell you that before the sun rose again I had received the dark gift of being made into a vampire. It is done in much the same way as Ann Rice described it in her books and incidentally Ann Rice got it pretty close to right with vampires with only a few exceptions.
Q. What did Ann Rice get wrong about Vampires. Can you elabarate a bit?
A. Well lets see. One big one is that I've never known a vampire that slept in a coffin. Darkened rooms yes but never coffins. And while the sun does make a young vampire a bit uncomfortable I am as comfortable in the sunlight as I am in the moonlight. The sun doesn't make us go poof or turn us to dust. And for the record garlic, crosses, or Holy Water don't work. Actually they don't do anything at all to us. Removing the heart from a Vampires Chest will kill it as will chopping off the head but that's about it folks. I've waited all my life for some one to hold a cross up and try to stop me. I would probably lean forward and kiss it and really blow their mind.
We can not survive on animal blood. In fact we would just throw it up. It has to be human and it has to come from a living breathing human being. We can't or don't rob blood banks. The blood from them would be useless. We have the ability to drink from a human and the marks seal almost at once. We take only what we need. But drink human blood we must and yes we have to drink it every day.
And my hair will always be the length it was the night I was made. If I cut it with in 24 hours it will grow back so somehow Ann Rice got that one close to right.
Q. Can you tell us if Vampires have any kinds of special powers?
A. Well I can't turn into a bat or fly but vampires do have special powers. I can scan a house from the outside and know who's inside and what they are doing. And if I'm near you I can read your thoughts and know exactly what you are thinking. I can also move much faster than a human can. And if I'm near to you I can make you forget that I just drank your blood and no you won't find any puncture marks as something in my saliva heals them almost as soon as I make them.
Q. Do you have any ideal how real vampires came to be? Where did they come from?
A. Well the cats already out of the bag on this one its just not widely known. The legend or story among our kind is that Judas Iscariot was the father of all vampires and that the real true vampires will roam the earth until the return of the Christians Christ.
Some vampires claim they can only drink the blood of Christians but I know that is not true. The vampire who gave me the dark gift was born she said in 1143 England and I don't doubt her at all. Shes the one who originally told me that we came from Judas Iscariot though she said she had never saw Judas Iscariot nor had she ever met any vampire who claimed to have met him.
She told me that there are darker more vicious vampire like beings in Europe but I have never met one of them. And yes we know each other. If there's another vampire with in 5 miles of me I will know it and so will the other vampire.
Real Interview With A Vampire Continues
A. Ok what about ghosts do they exist? Have you ever saw one?
Yes there really are ghosts that walk here on this earth along with a few other strange creatures. While I was alive as a human I had never saw a ghost but I think it was only because I had never been where there was one. After my Mom and my older sister had both passed away and been buried in the family graveyard I returned to the old family plantaion home in Charleston and I saw both the ghost of my Mother and my older sister. When they saw me they feared me and knew what I was. My mother made the comment to me. Go away you unholy thing. Over the years I have returned and have saw the ghosts of my Mother, older sister and other family members but have never saw the ghost of my father or younger brother. Other vampires have told me they think the peoples ghosts you don't see have gone on to some where else. Some have even went as far as to claim that those you don't see are in hell. One thing I will tell you is even though I have known vampires that were destroyed I have never saw the ghost of a vampire. And that's something that other vampires just don't talk about.
Q. How many vampires do you think there are in the United States?
A. It is in the low hundred thousands I'm sure. There are more real vampires in the United States than any other place I have ever been in the world. China for some reason has the fewest. Many vampires claim to have seen older more violent vampire creatures in Europe but though I have been there many times I never have.
Q. What is the oldest Vampire you ever knew? Are there any vampire secrets your not telling us.
I met a Vampire in Ireland that claimed to have been born in what is now northern Ireland in 300 BC. And he said he knew older vampires.
I think I have basically told you all the secrets of the vampire that I'm going to tell you. And there really is a lot that I don't think anyone knows. I myself have traced vampires back before the time of Judas Iscariot so I'm not sure if Judas Iscariot was the father of all vampires or if he even had anything to do with the creation of vampires at all. Maybe they have just always been here. I do wonder what happens to the soul if a vampire is killed. And I have wondered why no vampire has ever claimed to have seen the ghost of a vampire. And even though I have seen the ghosts of many of my relatives who were my family when I was a human why are there some people that you never see a ghost of. Is there a hell? I don't know but I do wonder.

Q. Would you be willing to turn anyone into a Vampire?
A. Possibly but I would have to know them long term and see them in day to day life. I have to tell you that a lot of humans turned into vampires do not make it very long. I have even seen some walk into the sun trying to end it. But remember the sun will not kill vampires though it can make them very uncomfortable especially young vampires. You never realize until you receive the dark gift how devastating it can be to the average just turned new vampire. I am not going to come over to your house and turn you into a vampire so there is really no reason to ask.
Q. Are other beings like werewolf's , witches , etc real or fiction. Do you know if they exist.
Werewolf's are very real and there was once many more werewolf's than today. Witches are of course very real. As are demons and other creatures of the night. Read your own Christian Kings James Bible to read about Demons and Witches.
Q. Do you have a great love who is a vampire.
I loved my maker more than anything on earth but time has separated us and we have moved on. My greatest love ever was a female vampire named Christinia from New Orleans and it was she that I truly considered my mate. She was made in the early 1700's but she looked at most 22 and was one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen. She vanished on April 3 2006 and I have not been able to find her. We had no argument she just vanished and I think she may have been killed by a vampire hunter. Or vampire hunters may be holding her to this day.
And that folks is a interview with a real live vampire. I have never met him in person and I do have my doubts but if you talk to him he sounds so real. He talks as if he himself really does believe that he is a vampire. I enjoyed doing it and I really did do a interview with a man who claims to be a vampire. He contacted me through Hub Pages and I have talked to him on the phone and through email. Is he a real live vampire. I don't know. I just know what he claims to be.
I had a similar interview. This one was more of a joke than anything. I hope the real vampires appreciate the humor. You can see this interview here.

I have a few questions I'd like to ask, and I understand he may choose not to answer, but this is only few of many...
The female that created him, where is she now? She allowed him to hold her in his arms, but didnt describe how he changed, How painful was it? And what is she to him today?
Has he ever hated who he became?
Has he ever found another vampire, a female infact, a mate?

ok i belive that vampiers do indeed exist but not in the way books and films describe them. i have been obsessd with vampairs and other legends of the dark, i also know same one who can talk to ghost and read minds. *Peter* if you are indeed who you claim to be then shourly you are ment to gard the fact of it with you're life? and arnt all you're vampier friends going to want you dead for telling the secret? however even if you're not a vampier which i don't belive that you are, i would lov to hear from you as you do sound very covincing, so either you're a mental case which is amasing in its self or you realy are who you claim to be.

Ok I Have been back in touch with Peter again and he says to ask your questions here and he will answer them. He says he has no desire to and will give no one the dark gift.
Other than that he says you are free to ask your questions and he will eventually come answer them.

Wow. This one borrowed his mythology from Dracula 2000. One of my favorite vampire movies, not the best one out there but it brougt him into the 21st century.
I wonder when we'll get an interview with someone who thinks he/she is an Appolite. (Brownie points if you get the reference)
Still I suppose the guy you interviewed has some creativity going for him. I wonder if he wrote any original stories as opposed to borrowing from other mythologies.

Peter, I have always felt like there was something different about me. I am never satisfied with what I have read, I always need to know more. I believe that there are dark forces at work in this world and have come in contact with a few in my life, since then I have not been the same person.
I have read your interview, in doing so I am very facinated with your life story. I have been waiting to see if you are going to reply to any of these comments like you said and have not seen anything yet. There are a few questions in here I would like to see answered if you don't mind.
I have also been to Charleston S.C. a few times and do find the history so beautiful, you are very lucky to live in such a remarkable place.

i am very interested in knowing more information about vampires in general. I have lots of questions but i will go ahead and ask If i was to come across a vampire or see one would i know? and do vampires have like a certain place that they all meet for social gatherings or are they content with being alone alot?
the good thing about vampires today is that some are energy-seeking vampires which means they won't want anything to do with your blood. The down side to that is when they feed off your energy, they leave you feeling really weak. Now for the blood drinking vampires, (like the vampire don said) they are alot more meture about how they get their blood, and won't like bite your neck to get it. They just like get you to i guess get a needle and draw your blood from your skin or wherever. (or something like that)
DUDE if you have read twilight than you can tell that where it asks when you became a vampire is like jaspers story remixed im soooooooooooo not stupid!!! girls are so awesome and i AM a vampire and i know some of these anwsers unlike u.
Isnt he worried that someone would mess with his house....He told the location and he specified that there was in fact a family grave site..as well as the wealthy father..It would be easy to find him with his birth month and year and what his mother said to him makes me think that his parents would have got all of them baptisms which they keep records of....
Also, blood-drinking-vampires usually only drink from the people who are willing to give their blood away for blood-drinking-vampires to drink.

Peter, I was intrigued by this interview and if you don't mind I have a few commments and questions for you.
First, I must say that I am a bit disappointed. I was interested in reading your answers to the comments and questions made by others, but it was left ignored. You have all of eternity, why not spare a few moments and reply to the comments and questions that were made to you? Why else would you do this interview?
Second, why did you decide to do this interview? Isn't this considered giving away secrets? Will you get in any trouble for doing this interview?
Third, "they" say that ghosts exist because they have "unfinished business". Why do you think that you can see your mother and sister, but not your father? Does your mother know that you are her son and why would a ghost fear a vampire?
Next, out of curiosity, do you have any tattoos or scars?
