Abraham Lincoln's Pre-Assassination Dream
Abraham Lincoln dreamed about 10 days before his assassination of his assassination. He said that in his dream he heard people crying and sobbing and he could see a coffin up at the front of the room he was in. He said that he walked up to the front of the room and looked down into the coffin and there he saw his self laying there dead. Lincoln often talked to people about the fact that he feared he would be assassinated. Is that what made him have the dream about his own assassination or did he really get a glimpse or warning of what was to happen to him.
Lincolns Last Day
As was his usual habit President Abraham Lincoln got up at 7 am on Friday , April 14th 1865. The morning was warm and the dogwoods along the Potomac were in bloom. The scent of flowers drifted through the air and President Lincoln told Secretary of State Seward to call a cabinet meeting that morning for 11 am. Lincoln also wrote a note to General Ulysses S Grant inviting him to attend the cabinet meeting.
At 8 am on that last day of his life President Lincoln sat at the table with wife Mary and his two sons Robert and Tad and ate breakfast. Mary told her husband President Lincoln that she had tickets to Ford Theater that night to see " Our American Cousin " She hoped that General Grant and his wife would go to the Theater with them.
At the 11 am Cabinet Meeting that morning some cabinet members argued that the southern leaders should be tried and punished but Lincoln said people have suffered enough. Lets just let things be. Lincoln sincerely hoped to help the south to recover and he talked about it at the cabinet meeting that morning.
At 8.30 P.M. when the Lincoln Party arrived at Fords Theater the play had already begun. President Lincoln and his party made their way up to the state box and history played out.

Abraham Lincoln - A Tribute
Abraham Lincoln was the 16th president of the United States
Abraham Lincoln was the 16th president of the United States and the first Republican President. He won entirely on his support from the north. He was not even on the ballot in 9 southern states and out of 996 counties in the south he won only 2 of those counties. People who saw him make it that day say it was clear to see how much the carnage and deaths of the Civil War dead really bothered Lincoln. They said Lincoln loved all Americans and he considered the boys on both sides of the Civil War to be Americans.

A. Lincoln had one of the finest minds in American history. His extremely unusual emergence up from poverty, illiteracy and physical ungainliness to become a lawyer, Congressman and President during one of the worst crisis the Union has endured, is like no other story ever told.
My 12 year old son just used your page as a source for his Illinois class project. Thanks, great info!
I saw a History Channel documentary a few months ago that speculated that Abe Lincoln was a closet homosexual or at the very least bisexual. That he had overnight men guests at the White House who would even sleep in the same bed as him. That there are letters between him & another male that have been "made known" & I hope I don't get any negative comments, I think he was a great man, & we all deserve to be happy, no matter "what we like", I'm only stating what was told on the documentary. It was interesting to say the very least.

I think Lincoln was a brilliant man and I sincerely believe that God used Lincoln to change history. I believe that a great deal could be learned by the current generation if one would just study his life work.
