How To Add RSS To My Hub Pages

In case you don't know RSS stands for , " Really Simple Syndication ". If you notice when your creating your Hub Page it gives you the option of adding a RSS capsule to your Hub Page. You can in fact add more than one RSS capsule if you wish.

Now you may ask yourself why should I be interested in RSS? Well I'll tell you why. You can use your RSS feed from your profile page at Hub Pages to for instance list your latest hubs on your blog. Now you may ask yourself where do I find that RSS feed on my profile page. Well I'm going to show you exactly where it is. Just check out the below photo.

See there where I circled. That's where you want to click to get your own RSS Feed.
See there where I circled. That's where you want to click to get your own RSS Feed.

Now you can right click and copy link location to get the RSS URL you will need to show all your latest hubs. And here is where it gets really interesting. The feed your given as I said will be a feed containing your latest hubs. See the below photo to see what this feed will look like on a web site.

As you can see there is a list of your latest hub pages. If you use the latest hub page feed at Hub Pages you can choose to show up to your latest eight hubs. If you have a blog especially at Blogger it will allow you to add a drag and drop capsule to your blog that will allow you to add your latest hub pages to your blog. It just might surprise you at how many visitors you can get by posting your latest hubs feed every where you can.

Thought that might get your attention.

Getting peoples attention is very important. You really should research the titles of your Hub Pages well especially if your going to be using your RSS feed everywhere and you want to get peoples attention and get them to click a link in your feed and click through to your Hub Page.

You can customize your RSS feed. For instance you can go to your profile page and search for a subject in the search box where it says for instance , " Search Content By Crazyhorsesghost " I searched for fish on my profile page and it created the feed you see displayed in the photo below.

Click the little orange box and it will take you to , " My Yahoo ". There you will see the feed displayed.

And there is the feed displayed on My Yahoo.
And there is the feed displayed on My Yahoo.

Now you may ask how do I get the URL to that feed from , " My Yahoo " so I can use it on my Hub Pages and on my web sites. Well it really isn't that hard. Just go there to the My Yahoo page and click where it says options.

Once you click options your going to see a list open up and you want to click the word that says , " More Info ". Once you do it will open up a little box that will say content URL and it is that URL that you want so you can use it where ever you want to use it.

You can follow these steps and create all kinds of feeds about your content. And then you can use these feed url's where ever you want to. You can use these specialized feeds to bring people from your web sites and blogs to your hub pages. Remember when your thinking up the titles for your Hub Pages to use the free key word tool at Word Tracker or Google to do good key word research to be sure to have your key words in your title and you want a attention grabbing title. That title can mean a big difference in the amount of traffic your Hub Page gets.

Ask yourself a very important question and be 100 percent honest with yourself. Would the title you plan to use get your attention. And what ever you do don't sell a pig in a poke. By that I mean have content on that Hub Page that matches up exactly with the title. Get the attention of the average web surfer and they are going to click through and see what your web site or Hub Page is about. When they get there if you have really interesting content the person coming to your Hub Page will stick around long enough to see exactly what your Hub Page is about.

And the longer they stay on your Hub Page the better the chances are that they will click on something that is going to pay you money. And money is what its all about. If you have comments or questions please post them below now. And thanks for taking the time to read my Hub Page.

Great stuff, most of the people on HubPages, and I mean 99% don't use rss, which is a big mistake. I get plenty of traffic through RSS here and for my blogs, so I say RSS is a must :)
