Best Grilled Barbecue Chicken Recipe Ever

Here we are going to prepare a easy recipe for the best grilled barbecue chicken that you'll ever make and taste in your life. And yes it really is that delicious. Here were going to use chicken thighs. Chicken thighs taste great and they are a third the cost of chicken breast. They also have a lot more flavor than chicken breasts. Here we are going to make one of my favorite recipes for barbecue grilled chicken. Many people over the years have told me that this is truly the best grilled barbecue chicken they have ever tasted in their life.

You will want to take the skin off your chicken thighs and remove the small bone from each chicken thigh. Then place your chicken thighs on a flat wooden surface and cover with plastic wrap. Then beat flat with a meat hammer. Place your beaten chicken thighs in a plastic bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Place in the refrigerator while you make the below barbecue sauce.

1. 1/2 Cup Melted Margarine.

2. 1 Small Sweet Onion diced very fine.

3. 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar.

4. 2 Tablespoon Chili Powder.

5. 1 Cup Tomato Juice.

6. 1/2 Cup Water.

7. 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce.

You want your onion to be diced as fine as possible. Usually I just run my onion through the food processor and I puree it until it is almost liquid.

Mix all of the barbecue ingredients above into a small stock pot and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to a low simmer and cook at least one hour. Be sure that you stir up from the bottom of the pot with a wire whisk while its cooking. Then let it cool to room temperature.

Pour half of the prepared barbecue sauce over the chicken in the refrigerator and save the other half to serve on the side with your barbecue chicken. If necessary turn your chicken in the refrigerator over to be sure it all gets covered with the barbecue sauce. You will want to leave the chicken in the refrigerator over night before you grill it on the grill over medium heat the next day. Go by the refrigerator when you remember and shake the container the chicken is in to make sure the chicken gets well marinaded in the barbecue sauce.

Now comes the tricky part. When you get ready to cook your chicken you want the grill to be already heated up and ready to cook before you put the pieces of chicken onto the grill. You should also spray the grill grates down well with vegetable cooking spray to prevent your chicken from sticking. Keep a spray bottle of water handy in case you need to put out a small grill fire.

Your prepared chicken thighs are going to cook rather quickly but be sure that your chicken gets cooked well done. You really should need to turn your chicken thighs over only once while they are cooking. If you flip your chicken over and over it will toughen up so turn it only when ready to cook the other side. Ideally you should build your charcoal fire on one side of the grill and grill your chicken over on the other side. This is known as cooking over indirect heat. Almost all chicken and seafood grilling should be done this way.

I like to take the barbecued grilled chicken thighs off the grill when they are done and take two forks and shred each chicken thigh. If you do this they are wonderful made into one of the best barbecue chicken sandwiches that you'll ever taste in your life. I make slaw to go on the sandwiches and people almost always will tell me they are the best chicken sandwiches they have ever tasted in their lives. I know my family and me always love them made this way. Once you make them post a comment and let me know what you think.

To me this is truly one of the easiest and most delicious barbecue grilled chicken recipes you will ever taste and enjoy.
