Great Beach Vacation Ideals For Everyone To Enjoy

When it comes to choosing a place to go on a beach vacation it can be hard to pick a location. If you check around you will find that with a few hours of air travel that there are all kinds of wonderful beach vacations for you to take now. You can explore the exotic beaches of Costa Rica or play golf in Hawaii. But closer to home you can also find many wonderful beach locations to explore.

1. Costa Rica has all kinds of wonderful resort vacation packages available. If you go to Google and put in Costa Rica Resorts you may be pleasantly surprised at all the beautiful beaches you will have to choose from. If you have frequent flier miles put them to a good use and take a fun Costa Rica vacation that you will remember for a life time. One ideal location you should check out in Costa Rica is the Punta Islita Hotel and Resort that offers everything you could ever hope for in a resort plus lots more. You want to be sure to check out the Zip Line which is a ride on a line through the top of a rain forest. And be sure to check out the photos from the Punta Islita Hotel and Resort. Can you even imagine a place that beautiful. To me Costa Rica is truly one of the most beautiful countries in the world.

The thing is that you could travel around Costa Rica once a year for a week for the rest of your life and you would never have the time to explore all the beautiful beaches that Costa Rica has to offer. With a very few exceptions all of the beaches in Costa Rica are public. And what ever you do don't miss the fact that Costa Rica is quickly becoming one of the most popular white water rafting areas in the world. You just won't believe the experience until your rafting down the rivers of Costa Rica through the jungles enjoying the scenery as you travel down the rivers.

A lot of American's are now relocating to Costa Rica and starting tourist based businesses there. I can't think of a more beautiful place on earth. I hope to live there myself some day.

2. Charleston South Carolina has so much to offer. If you've never checked out the historic city of Charleston South Carolina you should. Two wonderful beaches with so much to offer are located near Charleston South Carolina are Edisto Beach and Folly Beach. Both are beautiful beaches located on barrier islands off the coast of South Carolina. Folly Beach is on a barrier island almost in Charleston Harbor. At the upper end of Folly Beach if you are standing looking north you will see the Morris Island Lighthouse. The Morris Island Light House is located on what is left of Morris Island where Fort Wagner stood during the American Civil War. Almost the entire 54th Massachusetts was wiped out trying to take Fort Wagner. The 54th Massachusetts was one of the first almost all African American units to fight in the Union Army. Most of the 54 Massachusetts is buried on the end of Folly Beach in one large un marked grave.

In downtown Charleston South Carolina you can eat at some of the worlds best restaurants or go shopping at one of the best Flea Markets in the world located right in downtown Charleston South Carolina. While you're in Charleston be sure to go for a walk on the Battery where Pirates were once hung and take a horse drawn carriage ride around Charleston.

In Charleston County there are several county parks. One has a great water park and you will find several wonderful beaches located in Charleston County Parks. You will find a fishing pier operated by Charleston County Parks at folly Beach and several of the Charleston County Parks have places to go fishing and crabbing. Be sure to check out the Crab Shack on Folly Beach for some of the best and freshest seafood you will ever eat.

3. Don't be like me and live in North Carolina and not visit the North Carolina Outer Banks until you are over 50 years old. The North Carolina Outer Banks are for lack of a better word beautiful. As you drive down the North Carolina Outer Banks you'll see surprise after surprise as you drive along. Along a lot of the beaches on the outer banks you can drive on the beach in the fall and winter and the surf fishing is excellent here.

Do you know that one of the best places in the world to go hang gliding is located at Jockey Ridge State Park. You will be amazed at the huge sand dunes located there and if you've never been hang gliding you just have to check it out. As you drive south into the small town of Hatteras on Hatteras Island you'll find the state ferry boat terminal located there with free ferry boat rides for you and your car from Hatteras Island over to Okracoke Island and back. And yes the 40 minute ferry boat ride both ways is free for you and your vehicle. And this ferry boat ride is one of the best free things you will find any where.

While your on Ocracoke Island be sure to check out the wild horse herd there and take the time to walk on the little beach you'll find down the street from the Ocracoke Light House. That little beach was the pirate Black Beards favorite place on earth and Black Beard was killed and beheaded just off of Ocracoke Island. Its said that Blackbeard hid a treasure on Ocracoke Island but if he did no one has ever found it. Or if they did they never reported it.

When you get back up to Hatteras Island and your leaving there be sure before you leave that you stop and check out the Hatteras Island Light House. It is one of those things that you just have to see at least once in your life. The Outer Banks of North Carolina are still unspoiled. I love to visit the North Carolina Outer Banks in the winter time but you won't find a lot to do in the winter except sight-see. I love walking on the beaches in winter and I also like the fact that you can drive on the beaches in the Outer Banks of North Carolina in the fall and winter.

On parts of the Outer Banks of North Carolina you can walk for miles even in the summer and never see another human being. I like the stores that you'll find along the 13 mile drive from the Ferry Boat landing on Ocracoke Island down to the village of Ocracoke. You just never know what you're going to find in these stores.

4. St Augustine Florida is another wonderful historical location that you just have to visit. It's Americas oldest city and not only is it a great beach location but you'll find all kinds of other things you can do in St Augustine Florida. You want to be sure to visit Ripley's Believe It Or Not and the old Spanish Fort. The Old Spanish Fort is operated by the United States Park Service and it is an absolutely must see location. The correct name for the old Spanish Fort is the Castillo de San Marcos. It was completed in 1695 and it has a rich history under Spanish, British, and American rule.

Right across the Bridge of Lions is St Augustine Beach that is my favorite beach in St Augustine. Ask a local though how to get to Vilano Beach and check it out. There is a new bridge going over to Vilano Beach on A1A and the old bridge has been turned into a fishing pier. You will find some really great fishing here.

If your into the paranormal like me you'll want to be sure to visit the St Augustine Light House. Ghost Hunters the T.V. Show did an episode on the St Augustine Light House and they said it was haunted. A lot of the buildings in the old part of St Augustine date back to the early Spanish days and many are said to be haunted. If you like the paranormal you'll want to be sure to check out the St Augustine Ghost Walk and everyone loves the little trains they have that tourists ride all over town.

Just a short drive down the road from St Augustine is Daytona Beach Florida where they have the Daytona 500 every year plus the beaches of Daytona are some of the best in the world.

5. Myrtle Beach South Carolina is the ultimate family vacation destination. You could go to Myrtle Beach South Carolina for the next twenty years and not do everything. One reason is they keep adding new things almost every year and almost every time I go to Myrtle Beach I see something new.

You will find Ripley's has all kinds of interesting things to do in the main street area of Myrtle Beach plus you'll find all kinds of restaurants, cafes, bars with life entertainment and one of the most beautiful boardwalks along the beach in the world. You can set outside at a lot of the little cafes and enjoy your meal while you watch the ocean and the people walk by. Most nights in the summer you will find free live entertainment offered in several outdoor locations

Ocean Lakes Campground is a wonderful place to rent a cottage or house and if your going to come to Myrtle Beach plan to be here for the 4th of July. On the night of July 4th from the beach at Ocean Lakes Campground you'll be able to see the fireworks show from several locations up and down the beach. Plus they will be shooting fireworks off from the beach at Ocean Lakes Campground. It's really one of the best places on the east coast of the United States to see a fire work show.

Myrtle Beach South Carolina is almost always in the top 20 travel destinations in the United States. If you love seafood like I do then you need to check out the seafood buffets in Myrtle Beach South Carolina.

If you were going to do a list of the five best beaches in the world to visit at least once in your life you couldn't go wrong with the five above locations. And while I didn't even begin to touch on all the wonderful things to do at those locations I hope I've given you just a little ideal of all the wonderful things you can do at those locations.
