One Of The Best Ghost Stories Ever
Over the years Virginia Walker has told the story of the Ghost Lady that appeared to her when she was 12 years old at the old Carver Plantation House on Pearidge Road in Rutherford County N.C. Unfortuntly the Carver Plantation house is no longer there but this story is one of the best ever. It is some of the best evidence ever of the existence of Ghosts. And we just love the way Virginia Propst Walker tells the story of what happened to her when she was 12 years old. She is now 67 and will be 68 in October 2007

I grew up on a dirt road off of Pea ridge road..I would like directions to the area..
It is just above the river bridge coming from Bostic. The house is no longer there. It burned and then was pushed over. There were once two Carver Plantation Houses in Rutherford County about five miles apart. The other house was over near Forest City in the Forest Lake Acres area at the end of the lake spillway. It is also however long gone.

let me tell you a story! I was a young teenage girl living in south Granville, NSW AUST. It was winter time in a very cold Housing Commision House. We had not been long to the area - it was about 1970. I was assigned a bedroom closest to the drive way (0uter side of the house) I must have been about 7years old. The house was at least eight foot off the ground (had brick piers) you were able to climb under the house. I did so many times to retrieve a ball or the family cat.
many nights we would hear tapping on the walls, which my mother would run out to see if she could catch the local kids running up the driveway and jumping the back fence. No matter how fast she was it would always end in nothing.

i don't get afraid often. my friend lives down from this cemetary, i have seen these figures there. it is really exciting to see ghosts. my house is also "haunted". Hope to see more "exciting" things soon.

My Mom passed away on January 6th 2010 and since then I have known for a 100 percent fact that her spirit ( ghost ) has been with me several times.
well there are many many stories about ghost or spirits, and they are said to be in certain spots, but really they are all over. they are spirits of people who have either come to help you in some way, protect you, or haunt you. i have many stories that i can tell but i will only tell one for now.
one night about 8;20 i was riding in my truck and i was looking down, then out of no where felt this need to look up. As soon as i looked up i realized i was driving past the old tree that had three crosses on it because three people died in a car wreck a few years ago. When i looked behind the tree there was a tall all gray man standing there in a long olden time jacket, tall black boots, and a hat that covered his forhead until his eyes. This made me a lil creeped out but not enough to be scared. So i drove on and i randomly looked up again and say him standing in a feild by another tree. When i was almost home i looked over to the side of the road and the man was there again. At this point i knew he was Following me. AS soon as i got to my drive way i saw him one last time and heard a whisper saying ill be back

O lord Eddie I can say 2 tha people readin this i no 4 a fact when u say that ur mom has been around u several times after she passed(R.I.P Virgina) bc i was wit u a few times when she showed her presence!!! It scared tha shit outta me!! I never believed in this kinda stuff till i saw it wit my own eyes so people i can tell yall 1st and this is all true!!
Yes she is still around Mandy. Thanks for posting. She is around all the time. She moves things in my house so I will know for a fact that she is there.
Dreamwalker says that for some reason, I get something about the Kroatoan incident of the Lost Colony from this. CHG any family tales along those lines in your past?
Druid Dude you are exactly right. My Mom was named Virginia Dare after the first English Child of the same name that disappeared along with the lost colony. My Mom died back on January 6th of this year and I went to the lost colony site for the first time in February of this year.
I have just read your story, Great by the way. But more importantly, I want to tell you, how lucky you are to know your mom is still with you. She is you angel looking over you and smiling.... So make her proud everyday....

Light Is Love
I was reading the newsfeeds on fb and 1 caught my attention it was lyrics to a song by live, just 3 words in a box until no end I don't know why but this made me think of my husband who was killed as a result of a homicide. I scanned thru my phone looking at photo's of him and in 1 photo he is standing on the beach nothing but water behind him. As I scrolled on the photo I noticed in the background a box with 3 words. It looked like the newsfeed I zoomed in but it just gets blurry but it is definitly there. Might be nothing but it is strange!!

this may not be a long or good story but when i was young i was always scared about ghost stuff and one night i rode my bike near a firefighter building,i looked inside of it the lights were off and turns on but no one was inside then i heard a whisper close to my ear saying my name i turned to see who said it but just saw a car coming towards me,was it a ghost warning me??
I do believe in ghosts! We rented a house in Murfreesboro, TN back in 1997. My husband and I had the master bedroom at the back of the house, across the hall was my oldest daughters room (she was 14) and next to hers was our youngest daughters room, who was only 6. Late at night after we'd gone to bed we could hear 2 voices talking over our heads as if a man and a woman were in our attic. Couldn't make out what they were saying, just muffled like voices. My husband said, oh, the neighbors must be outside smoking or something. I thought, at 2 in the morning on a weeknight? So, one night we heard the voices and my husband went outside and walked all around the house and there was no one outside. Also, just a few times, strange things would happen in the house but only when I was home alone. When the kids were in school and my husband was at work. Several times I'd walk out into the kitchen and a cabinet door would be open and I knew I didn't open it I was the only one there. And things would be moved, a glass that was in the sink might be sitting on the counter as if someone had gotten a drink and left the glass there. Again, I'm the only one home. The scariest thing that happened was one day I was home alone and I got into the shower and suddenly I felt this air blow the shower curtain, not cold air or hot just like a breeze. I peeped out and no one was there so I just thought well it's the air conditioner kicking on even though I didn't hear it come one. So, I finished my shower and I'm drying off when I hear something at the back door. My husband often came home for lunch since his job was about 10 minutes away. So, I thought it was him. I ran to the back door to let him in and no one was there. As I turned to go back down the hall to my room this overwhelming presence moved through me, like a breeze again only warm and really strange. Well, one day I was watching Montel Williams and that psychic Sandra Brown was on there and she said, most spirits aren't there to harm you they want to be left alone. So, if you just tell them, look, if you want to stay here fine, just stop scaring me. So, a few days later I walk into the kitchen and this glass is sitting on the counter that I know I didn't put there. I lost it. I hit that counter and screamed out...Ok, fine you know what you can stay here if you want but stop scaring the hell outta me. And don't ever walk through me again, oh, and while I'm at it, can you keep your voices down at night we're trying to sleep! You know, the incidents pretty much stopped. Things weren't out of place anymore. Once in awhile I'd hear the voices and my husband thought I was crazy cuz I'd holler out, keep it down. We finally bought a house the following year and moved to Nashville. We never told the kids any of this because we didn't want to scare them and I knew my little one would be sleeping with us til she was 21. But, a few years after we were having a cookout and everyone was talking about ghosts and telling stories and my oldest daughter who was 18 by then starts telling the story of hearing voices over her head in the house in Murfreesboro. I'm just shocked, staring at her as she's telling of hearing voices in the attic and sounded like a man and woman but she couldn't hear what they were saying. She said she never told us because she didn't want to scare her sister and she didn't think we'd believe her. So, I do believe in ghosts, I do believe in ghosts!!!!

one day when i was a little kid i went into my backyard with my mom and dad i was hugging my dad and my head was on his shoulder and a woman our neighbor had recently passed away and when i was hugging my dad my face was facing the window and what i saw was freaky looking woman almost like greyish white kinda see through and honestly till this day i never want to see that window i get goosebumps from it and want to shit my pants like it isnt even funny thanks for reading (btw this is true)
my house is haunted defo cos we hear the stairs creak like just wen wer watchin xfactor an vampire diaries.
in my room i hear voices an i opened my game pack an the disk was not in it i went to get someone and when i was back it was in the pack.I AM SURE MY HOUSE IS HUANTED.
I am origianlly from london, england i was very close to my grandmother we had a special bond. Anyway she had been very ill and was on morphine and was basically in a coma. One evening i decided to go to a relatives house where my grandmother was in her coma, i phoned ahead to say i was on my way, and was told not to come as my grandmother was in the coma and it was a 2 hour trip to get there. but i decided to go anyway. The moment i walked into her room she woke from the her coma and i spent a few hours with her, it was time to leave and i had a long trip home and it was late, i got told as soon as i left the house she went back into her coma and she never woke again she passed away 2 days later. My grandmother had a distinctive smell( the perfume that she wore). A few months later i was asleep in bed and i was woken by the smell of my grandmother, the smell was so strong and i am sure my grandmother was with me that night.
these stories are really freakin me out .anyway one night i went to sleep in my bed the top bunk and had a bad dream and i went to get in my mums bed she wasnt there or my dad or my 2 yr old brother he always went to my mums bed in the night then i went to my 11 year old brothers room he wasnt there. i went to look downstairs my dad wasnt there working and my mum wasnt on sofa so basically my whole family was gone.then i just went to sleep in the bottom bunk. i woke up in the bottom bunk remember i went to sleep in the top so i couldnt of been dreaming and i dont sleepwalk this is 100% true im not kiddin im only 8 bye
when i was little and used to share a room with my older sister. often one night a week i would wake at about 2 in the morning, to see a shadow at the end of my sisters bed with no distictive shape. i never metioned this to my family as i did not want to scare my sister and thought that although my mum had experienced supernatural things in the past my parents would not believe me. both me and my sister moved out of that room and it became my parents room and soon after i forgot about the strange occurance. about a year ago my parents split up and i was at my dad and we got talking about weather we believed in the supernatural and he mentioned seeing a figure at the end of my mums side of the bed (same side of the room as my sisters bed was) which reminded me of what i used to see when i was little and when we both described it the similarity was shocking!

I know the story that she is talking about.My Grandfather told my the same story.The man killed his baby because it would not stop crying.The baby was sick and back then the were not alot of doctors around to help.The mother could not help the baby although she tried.So, one night while the baby was crying the father took the baby from the Mother took the baby outside and killed it.I can not remember if the baby was a boy or girl.But, i do know that my grandfather told me that story was i was younger.
