Fried Oreo Cookies Recipe

People just keep trying to come up with new and unusual comfort foods. Here were going to be taking a look at something you may have only dreamed about before. We all love fried foods and we all love Oreo's and I got to wondering what if we put fried foods and Oreo's together. Just what in the world would we come up with. Well I'll tell you. Quite an unusual chocolate treat that will have you craving more. If your not real careful you'll find yourself up at 4 A.M. making of all things deep fried Oreo cookies. But I promise you that once people taste them they won't think you've gone mad.

I will tell you right up front for the best tasting deep fried Oreo's freeze your Oreo cookies in your freezer at least overnight before you make this unusual treat. This helps to insure that your cookie both stays together and that it does not melt.

Now were going to keep this recipe simple and what you need is the pancake mix with everything already in it to use to bread your Oreo cookies with. Make your pancake mix up according to the package directions and again you want the kind where you only have to add water or milk.

Okay if your ready to make your deep fried Oreo cookies ideally your Oreo cookies have been in the freezer at least overnight and twenty four hours would not hurt.

Make your pancake mix up according to the package directions and set aside. Now in a large bowl combine 2 cups of self rising flour and 2 cups of white granulated sugar. Now you will want to dip your Oreo cookies in the pancake batter and then into the flour / sugar mixture. Fry them a few at a time in a 350 degree home deep fryer until your cookies are golden brown. As soon as your fried Oreo cookies come out of the deep fryer they get dropped into a large bowl of powdered sugar. Then lay them out on a plate and get ready to serve.

These fried Oreo cookies really are quite delicious. And I guarantee you that people are going to give you a weird look when they ask you what is that but when they taste one fried Oreo cookie I warn you that they will be back for more. And more. And more. So be sure to make plenty of these delicious deep fried Oreo cookies.

Be sure to serve a big glass of cold milk to each person trying out your Deep Fried Oreo Cookies and warn the people eating them that they are hot. You can allow them to cool slightly before you give them to small children.

The Ultimate Dessert

While your fried Oreo cookies are still hot place 4 -6 deep fried Oreo cookies in a bowl. Now on top of your Oreo cookies add a big scoop of vanilla ice creme and then add chocolate syrup on top of the ice cream and then cool whip topping on top of that and there you will have what I consider to be the ultimate dessert. Oh how good this is. But be warned it is a very rich and delicious dessert. I bet you can't stop eating this one. Wow! was all I could think the first time I tasted it.
