Must See Attrations In Dallas Texas

At it's beginning Dallas Texas was a farming community and it relied on the near by Ft Worth Stock Yards and it's location on the trade routes that led west that helped Dallas to grow and become one of the largest cities in Texas. And then in 1873 there were several railroads built in Dallas and it's growth took off. By the early 1900s 31 percent of all the cotton produced in Texas was being grown with in a 100 mile radius of Dallas Texas. Did you know there are 337 public schools, 89 private schools, 38 colleges, and 39 public libraries in Dallas Texas. Dallas is one of the main tourist destination cities in the state of Texas.

If you visit Dallas Texas be sure to go see the Ft Worth Stock Yards, The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza, the Zoo, and the Ft Worth Rodeo. I can tell you that the Sixth Floor Museum is a must see attraction especially if your interested in the history of the United States. Another must see Dallas attraction is the Dallas Aquarium.

The Dallas Museum of Art is another must see attraction especially for people with out small children. If you visit Dallas in the spring or summer you just have to visit White Rock Lake Park. The park is a prime location for walking, hiking, and bird watching. Buy a picnic lunch and find a place along the lake to enjoy your lunch.

At the main branch of the Dallas Public Library is a great used book store on the ground floor and you can find some great photo opportunities like a herd of Texas Longhorns and the cowboys coming down the hill near the library. You can visit Bonnie Parker's Grave of Bonnie and Clyde fame at Crown Hill Memorial Park at 9700 Webb Chapel Road. If your interested in history Dallas has a lot to offer.
