Some Chefs are now earning the same salary and fame of rock stars so maybe a cooking school should be in your future.

And those are only a few of the great career opportunities available to cooking school graduates.

And most cooking schools offer some type of job placement to their graduates. This can open up culinary arts opportunities to you that you may never have thought of. Be sure however to fully check out cooking schools that offer internship type programs. Be sure that you know up front exactly what their internship program entails so that you won't spend days peeling potatoes and end up disgusted and quit.

When you are thinking of going to a certain cooking school come up with a list of questions you would like to know the answers to. And insist on knowing the answers to your questions.

If you go to cooking school maybe one day you will be a Executive Chef running a big restaurant kitchen or maybe one day you'll have your own cooking school. Maybe a career in the culinary arts field is for you.

Ask yourself a very important question. Do you love food? Do you like to cook? Being a chef is not a easy job and being a Sous Chef or Executive Chef is a very hard job. You will be working long hard hours and you'll most likely be working when other friends of yours are partying. At one point as a Executive Chef I was working 80 plus hours a week. But it was also a very rewarding job that I really enjoyed.
